This consultation has concluded.
The Public Transport Services Division (PTSD) of the Department for Transport, Energy & Infrastructure (DTEI), in consultation with the City of Holdfast Bay, is reviewing the current location of the bus layover areas in Moseley Street, Glenelg.
PTSD is considering changes to the existing bus layover locations in order to improve levels of service without hindering traffic and tram movement on Jetty Road as well as ensuring that pedestrian safety is not compromised.
Location
The proposed bus layover areas have been identified to provide optimum service delivery with minimal impact to passengers and the surrounding business, retail, community and residential environment at Glenelg.
PTSD is proposing to relocate the existing bus layovers to Anzac Highway, adjacent to Wigley Reserve, and to Partridge Street adjacent to the Glenelg Bowling Club.
These changes will replace the current layovers located on Moseley Street, Glenelg (just off Jetty Road). This means the 2 existing bus stops at Gordon Street will also need to be relocated approximately 10-15 metres south.
